Beyond the sacred, seasonal garden... you pause to experience the joy of birdsong as you are welcomed over the threshold, into the calm warmth of Kate's home. You know it was built consciously, is an eco build, but you didn't expect to feel this quietude in your bones... this stillness, as though the earth has grown up all around to hold you.
Across the hall and into Wren Studio, soon kicking off your shoes... and with them the outside world... you feel deeply held in the sumptuous natural materials, in this retreat space designed with you in mind. The ease and comfort of the room welcomes you... sitting back on the sofa to take it all in.
Once you've looked around, you wander over to the mini-kitchen to make a cuppa. There you find all the essentials needed to cater for yourself... a small fridge, cooker and hob... plenty of space for supplies you've brought... a nourishing retreat for all parts of your being coming up.
You take a shower, the hot water feeling as though it's washing the worries and concerns of the world away, dissolving 'out there' to make space for all that is within. Wrapped in cosy towels, the mirror reflects back the light of your being...
You delight in other finds... the gift of honey from Kate's bees... the pre-ordered goodies... home-prepared kombucha, some kimchi and sourdough... the Sonos system for healing music... the beauty of the garden all around... and even a customised Ordnance Survey map which puts you at the centre!
You lie back, sinking into the bed, with the intention of truly allowing yourself to let go, to retreat... and just before you doze off you remember you've a sound journey booked for later. Mmmm.
After your nap, you make your way through the garden to the main door where Kate is waiting to welcome you into the library and guide you in a sound journey. As the vibrations envelope you, wrap you, hold you, heal you... you smile... knowing you chose wisely.
This is exactly where you're meant to be right now. You are truly blessed!
"As I lay myself down onto the ‘just right’ bed with its featherlight quilt, sleep came. Deep and long and restorative. Soft dawn light under the door invited me to open it. The scent of rain-washed earth, the tranquillity of the garden, the cooing of collared doves, plants spangled with raindrops. Oh how beautiful!"
